Camp Tents

There are many factors that go into deciding which camp tent to buy, but in this article, we’re going to focus on one very important factor – space.

How big are camp tents?

It seems to be an accepted convention that camp tent makers increase the number of people who can sleep comfortably in a camp tent while advertising. When you go shopping, make sure that you buy a tent whose specification says can hold twice the number of people who are actually going to sleep in it! If your child will have a tent all to themselves, ensure that the tent you buy says that it can house two people.

There should be enough for one person to fully stretch out, along with additional space to keep his or her baggage. Apart from this, there must be just enough to move around a bit. This is essential for changing and generally mucking about. It’s no big deal to test out tents before you purchase them. You’ll find that most stores that sell camping gear have tents on display. Test them by asking your child to go in, lie down, move around, and imagine that all their gear is in with them. They should be comfortable with the zipper that opens and closes the tent as well.

Perhaps you could rent a tent for a short time and test it out in your backyard to acclamitize your children to what’s coming.

Buy camp organizers and space savers

These are great tools that will ensure that your child gets more space in his or her tent. In case your camping organization is providing the tents and they need to share their tent, items that allow more space for movement will be even better.

Camp organizers are foldable bags that open out and can hold all your children’s items when they’re taken out for easy access. This includes toiletries, underwear, shoes and socks. They have several compartments that keep all needful gear easily accessible and will ensure that the young people have a great time at camp. While choosing a good camping organizer, find one that matches your children’s personality and temperament. You can get them in a variety of sizes and colors.

Take the time to make sure that your child has an experience to remember, and you will give them the gift of great memories.
