Personalized Clothing Labels
Overview of Personalized Clothing Labels
All garments have a “tag” which identifies their brand or origin. The purpose of this is to give the observer more information about the piece of clothing. Nowadays, it is quite trendy to replace this tag (if it was purchased at a store), with a label that is more personalized and is suited to the style of the wearer. Personalized Clothing labels are just that. They are tags that are either sewn, or stiched onto the piece of clothing in order to provide more information about the wearer.
The different types of Personalized Clothing Labels
There are basically two types of custom clothing labels. Woven and Printed. Each has it’s own peculiar charm, as well it’s disadvantages. When you order your personalized clothing labels, make sure to specify the type of clothing label.
Printed Personalized Clothing Labels
For these type of labels, the design or name is printed onto the cloth. This process enables extremely fine and detailed labels to be made. Also, when you use our high quality labels, the design is smooth and soft against the skin of the person wearing it so that there is no irritation.
Within Printed labels, there are several types of fabric that can be used. For example, you can have satin fabric, velvet, cotton, or even twill. Nylon and Canvas are also popular. Our Cotton/Poly fabric is recommended for the best results.
Woven Personalized Clothing Labels
In this case, the custom design or name is weaved into the underlying fabric. There is a dizzying array of choices for this type of label including the type of thread that you want for the stitching.
The advantages of woven labels are that they usually outlast printed labels. Since they are sewed on, they essentially last forever and retain all their beauty even after decades of wear (They’ll outlast your clothes!).
More options for your labels
Apart from the type of Personalized Clothing Labels you choose, you can also select the size and shape of the label. You can choose to place it anywhere you want, and there are different techniques to attach them to the garment as well. More on that in the next post!
